Telara.health (“Telara”, “we”) is a personal health record and daily wellness log. You enter health information so that you can organize it, track it, and share it on your terms. This policy explains what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do with it — in plain language, because the subject matter is your health.
The short version
- Your health data is yours. We store it to show it back to you.
- We do not sell your data, run ads, or use third-party analytics trackers.
- Your pages are private unless you explicitly make them public.
- You can export your data or delete your account — and everything with it — at any time.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and Google account email. We never see your Google password.
- Profile information. The username and display name you choose, and whether your profile is public or private.
- Health information you enter. Case-file content (medical history, diagnoses, treatments, care team), daily log entries (symptoms, pain, mood, sleep, hydration, meals, medications, and similar), and anything else you type or dictate into the app. You control all of it; nothing is collected from other sources.
- Technical basics. Session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
To run the product: storing your entries, rendering your pages, sending sign-in emails, and powering optional AI-assisted features you explicitly invoke. We do not sell personal information, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing.
AI-assisted features
Two features send data to AI providers, only when you use them:
- Case-file import and voice parsing send the text you provide to Anthropic’s Claude API to structure it.
- Voice logging sends your audio clip to OpenAI’s transcription API to convert speech to text.
Under both providers’ API terms, this data is not used to train their models. Results always come back to you for review before anything is saved.
Who processes your data
We run on established infrastructure providers, each processing data only to provide their service to us: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (sign-in and account emails), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), and Anthropic / OpenAI (only for the AI features described above). Data is encrypted in transit.
Public pages
Profiles are private by default. If you switch a page to public, anyone with the link can read the case-file content and log entries shown on it — that is the point of the feature, but it is your call, and you can flip it back at any time from your account settings. Making anything public always asks you to confirm first, so health information is never shared without an explicit acknowledgment.
Accounts created before July 2026 started with a public profile and public pages under our earlier defaults. If that is you, your settings were not changed retroactively — please review them under Account → Visibility if you would rather keep things private.
An honest note on regulatory status
Telara is a personal record-keeping tool, not a healthcare provider, and is not a HIPAA covered entity. We treat your health data with care because it deserves care, not because a specific healthcare statute compels us to — and this policy is our commitment to that.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. Deleting your account from the account page permanently removes your profile, case files, log entries, and consent history from the production database. You can export your case-file data as JSON beforehand from the same page.
Children
Telara is not directed at children under 16.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here with a new date and ask signed-in members to review the revised version. Questions or requests about your data: ficaras0@gmail.com.
